Summary:
Develop and validate EMC/EMI/E3 requirements for communication, sensor, electronic warfare, and other electromagnetic systems, subsystems, components, interconnects, and structures
Develop system architectures to integrate components into higher-level systems and platforms
Perform E3 program planning, author E3 documentation, provide continuous program oversight, and support manufacturing activities
Conduct trade studies, modeling, simulation, and computational electromagnetic (CEM) analysis to predict system and interconnect performance
Define, plan, and execute tests to validate design performance against requirements
Manage technical assignments within budget, schedule, and quality objectives
Oversee supplier electromagnetic testing and ensure compliance with applicable procedures and standards
Monitor and assess supplier and partner performance for electromagnetic compliance
Collect and analyze performance data to support compliance and corrective actions
Provide lifecycle engineering support from manufacturing through customer use, including root-cause analysis of anomalies
Support site-wide compliance with Boeing St. Louis ESD Process Specification requirements
Support project management activities by developing work statements, budgets, schedules, and status reporting
Author major sections of proposals in support of new business development
Provide technical mentorship and guidance to other engineers
Requirements:
Active SECRET clearance required to start
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical preferred), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a directly related field
9+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree OR 7+ years with a Master’s degree OR 3+ years with a PhD
Engineering experience in EMC, EMI, or E3 (Electromagnetic Environmental Effects)
Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
Experience with aircraft electromagnetic standards such as MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, RTCA DO-160
Working knowledge of MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-1275, IEC-61000, and/or FCC Part 15
Experience in the Aerospace & Defense industry and/or military environment
Experience performing CEM analysis using tools such as FEKO, ANSYS, CST, or COSITE
Engineering experience with ESD (Electrostatic Discharge)
Experience with lightning testing and analysis
Demonstrated leadership experience, including leading teams and mentoring engineers
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to make sound technical decisions and deliver results
Certification as a TEMPEST Professional (CTP-I or CTP-II)
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
