Summary: 

• Perform complex trade studies, modeling, simulations, and analyses to predict component, interconnect, and system performance, optimizing design for E3 performance.

• Work under minimal direction to achieve Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) of electronics, wiring, and structures.

• Collaborate with manufacturing and suppliers to ensure system-level E3 compatibility.

• Report technical progress, challenges, and accomplishments to program management and customers.

• Support project management by developing work statements, budgets, schedules, and conducting reviews.

• Develop and implement test automation for aircraft modifications.

• Apply EMI engineering principles to document and resolve complex technical problems.

• Conduct analyses using conversion, correction, and antenna factors for EMI/EMC testing.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings in internal and external reviews.

• Prepare and present technical data through reports, tables, and visualizations.

Requirements.:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.

• Bachelor’s degree and 9+ years of related experience, or Master’s degree with 7+ years of experience, or Ph.D. with 4+ years of experience.

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry from an accredited institution.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Engineering Physics, or Physics.

• Strong understanding of electromagnetic concepts, including RF isolation, shielding, grounding, and filtering.

• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

• Minimum of 7 years of related work experience (Expert Level).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the defense or aerospace industry.

• Knowledge of MIL-STD-461/464 and/or DO-160 EMI/EMC standards.

• Experience with Aerospace Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3).

• Familiarity with EMI qualification testing for aircraft LRUs, including procedure and report review.

• Understanding of aircraft-level E3 requirements and test methods within MIL-STD-464.

• Knowledge of electrical bonding best practices for E3 compliance.

• Background in RF systems and/or computational E3 analytical software tools.
