Job Description

JOB TITLE: Electronics Technician
LOCATION: Clearwater, FL
PAY RATE: Up to $30/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Set up test apparatus and conduct tests on electronic circuit card assemblies, RF circuits, and subassembly units

  • Follow established methods, procedures, standards, and sequences

  • Lay out and assemble units for production electronic equipment per design specifications

  • Adjust and calibrate electronic assembly systems as needed

  • Correct malfunctions by making adjustments or replacing parts/components as directed

  • Use hand tools, small power tools, and various measuring/testing devices

  • Determine types of tests to be performed and suggest modifications to test equipment

  • Analyze test results to evaluate product and equipment performance

  • Assist engineers in developing test procedures for new products

  • Recommend product improvements or manufacturing modifications

  • Monitor and verify quality using statistical process control or similar procedures

  • Troubleshoot to the component level using schematic diagrams

  • Isolate failures on analog and digital circuitry

  • Apply strong knowledge of solid-state devices and micro-circuitry

  • Operate in a dynamic, fast-paced production environment supporting customer schedules

  • Proficient in the use of test and measurement devices including:

    • Digital Multimeters

    • Oscilloscopes

    • Network Analyzers

    • Frequency Standards

    • Signal Generators

    • RF Power Meters

Requirements:

  • 1+ year of direct experience testing electronic assemblies

  • Proficient in component-level troubleshooting of solid-state, digital, and RF circuits

  • Skilled in using Microsoft Suite and data collection programs to document maintenance actions

  • Experience with flying probe and high-power testing

  • High school diploma or equivalent, plus additional technical training (equivalent to Associate degree)

  • Ability to perform assigned technical/para-engineering tasks with 1 year of experience

  • Extensive RF testing experience

  • Familiarity with radar systems

  • Experience in a military "backshop" environment (repairing/troubleshooting electronic systems)

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
