JOB TITLE: Electronic Fabrication Specialist - DEFENSE
LOCATION: 
Grand Prairie, TX
PAY RATE: $51.39/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

  • Clearance: Active Secret clearance at time of submittal.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Fabricate circuit cards, sub-assemblies, and wiring harnesses, including component soldering, connector pinning/de-pinning, and applying mounting hardware.

  • Build single- or multi-bay cabinet assemblies for delivery to Engineering or Manufacturing Production areas.

  • Work collaboratively with Engineers, Fabricators, Draftsmen, Procurement, and Quality Inspectors in a team environment.

Requirements:

  • Active Secret clearance at time of submittal.

  • 3+ years of experience in fabrication (e.g., cable/wire harness, SMT board fabrication, or military design products).

  • Prior certification in soldering and harness fabrication per MIL-STD requirements.

  • Experience fabricating electrical equipment from blueprints, schematics, and engineering guides.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to report issues to management/engineers.

  • Proficiency with software tools and Microsoft products.

  • Self-starter able to work with minimal supervision.

  • Full-time (40 hours/week) with occasional overtime.

  • Safety shoes required.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Desired Skills:

  • Solder certification to J-STD-001, IPC-7711/IPC-7721.

  • Experience in procurement and acquisition of test materials.

  • Experience interpreting and building test equipment engineering documentation.
