Job Description

JOB TITLE: Electromagnetic Test and Evaluation Engineer
LOCATION: 
Huntsville, AL
PAY RATE: $78/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Summary: 

  • Support innovative radar and electromagnetic testing in a hands-on lab environment

  • Collaborate with internal and external teams across multiple technical disciplines

  • Work with advanced radar simulation and test systems involving RF components, digital signal processing, and embedded technologies

  • Contribute to the development, verification, and sustainment of radar seeker systems using real-time simulation tools

  • Develop and validate requirements for electromagnetic test systems and components

  • Design and integrate hardware and software systems

  • Perform trade studies, modeling, and simulation to predict system performance

  • Define and execute test procedures to verify compliance with requirements

  • Support product lifecycle with troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and engineering updates

  • Coordinate with internal teams and external customers to meet test needs

  • Operate and maintain specialized lab test equipment

  • Analyze technical data, resolve anomalies, and implement improvements

  • Travel domestically as needed

Requirements:

  •  Secret Clearance Required 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, computer science, or related technical field

  • 1+ years of hands-on experience with electromagnetic or RF systems in a lab setting

  • 1+ years of coursework or experience in RF theory

  • Willingness to travel domestically as needed
  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with radar or RF component/system hardware

  • Proficient in RF test equipment (e.g., Oscilloscopes, Vector Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers)

  • Familiarity with digital signal processing (DSP) and FPGA logic design

  • Experience with Linux-based systems

  • Embedded software programming and debugging skills

  • Knowledge of LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python, and/or C++

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
