JOB TITLE: Electrical Night Vision Technician - DEFENSE 
LOCATION: 
Killeen, TX
PAY RATE: $32.26/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

  • Shift: 4/10A – 1st Shift

  • Clearance: Active Secret Clearance preferred; ability to obtain is required (not needed to start).

Summary: 

  • Perform depot-level repairs, modifications, and refurbishments of components within the Modernized Target Acquisition Designation Sight/Pilot Night Vision Sensor (M-TADS/PNVS) system.

  • Support electrical, mechanical, and system-level testing, troubleshooting, and documentation.

  • Perform electrical rework, repair, and soldering on cable harnesses and circuit card assemblies

  • Operate and troubleshoot using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, network analyzers, and waveform generators

  • Interpret and work from engineering drawings, schematics, RCPs, CIPs, FABs, and technical manuals

  • Conduct test and checkout of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and structural subsystems

  • Document all maintenance actions in automated systems per Apache Fire Control processes

  • Install, maintain, and modify systems and subsystems in support of field operations

  • Maintain effective communication with internal teams and customer representatives

  • Provide onsite training to customer support personnel as needed

Requirements:

  • Active Secret Clearance preferred; ability to obtain is required (not needed to start).

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Solder certification to J-STD-001 and IPC-7711/7721

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in each of the following:

    • Electrical rework/repair and soldering of cable harnesses

    • Electrical wiring

    • Circuit card assembly

  • Proficient in reading/interpreting engineering drawings and schematics

  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

  • Ability to work with hazardous materials and mix/weigh chemicals

  • Familiarity with government property control and maintenance procedures

  • Adaptable to dynamic and changing customer requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
