JOB TITLE: Electrical Design and Analysis Engineer 5 – Microelectronics
LOCATION: Mesa, AZ
PAY RATE: $106.50/hour

Summary: 

  • Perform UVM Advanced Verification on single or multi-FPGA programs with teams of FPGA designers, verification engineers, and project engineers.

  • Support early proof-of-concept designs and high-assurance/safety-critical FPGA programs requiring extremely reliable performance.

  • Collaborate with system, hardware, software, and FPGA engineers to understand requirements and architect comprehensive verification solutions.

  • Ensure rigor and robustness in early adopter technology for high-assurance avionics solutions.

  • Participate in lab integration to replicate unique conditions producing unexpected behavior.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry

  • Typical experience: Bachelor + 14+ years, Master + 12+ years, or PhD + 9+ years

  • 3+ years FPGA or ASIC UVM/UVMF experience supporting high-assurance or safety-critical applications

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering

  • Experience leading ASIC/FPGA verification teams to deliver high-reliability solutions

  • Proficiency with FPGA development and version control tools in a Linux environment

  • Experience verifying FPGA/ASIC to DO-254 DAL A or B standards and/or cyber-secure development processes

  • Ability to create verification documents (Verification Plan, Cross Reference Matrix)

  • Experience with Git, ClearCase, Teamcenter

  • Familiarity with Aircraft Avionics Systems, military service, DOORS for requirements management, and FPGA development traceability tools
