JOB TITLE: Design and Analysis Engineer 5 
LOCATION: 
Albuquerque, NM
PAY RATE: $113/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Derive and document hardware requirements from system-level specifications

  • Develop and define electronic subsystems and unit-level architectures

  • Write Statements of Work (SSOWs) for PCB fabrication and related contractual efforts

  • Apply technical expertise when defining electronics requirements (voltage, current, power, signal integrity)

  • Design, develop, and test mixed-signal electronic circuits and systems

  • Lead PCB schematic capture and layout implementation

  • Collaborate with software and firmware engineers to ensure seamless hardware/software integration

  • Conduct and participate in technical reviews including TRR, PDR, and CDR

  • Perform simulations and analyses to validate design performance

  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues during development and testing

  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to electrical engineering team members

Requirements:

  • Active Top Secret Clearance

  • Aerospace experience required 

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 9+ years of experience in the design, development, and integration of complex electronic systems or subsystems

  • 5+ years of experience researching, developing, or evaluating electrical, electronic, computer, software, and/or firmware requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in analog and/or digital circuit design, packaging techniques, and/or power systems

  • 3+ years of experience developing subsystem-level requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with Mentor Graphics tools (Xpedition, Capital Suite)

  • Experience with SiMetrix or similar circuit simulation tools

  • Experience integrating electro-optical (EO) and infrared (IR) sensors

  • Experience with high-speed, low-latency electronic design
