JOB TITLE: Design and Analysis Engineer 5 - Electronic Systems
LOCATION: Berkeley, MO
PAY RATE: $113/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Summary: 

  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, and peers.

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering continuous learning and improvement.

  • Review and approve technical approaches, products, and processes.

  • Collaborate with customers to develop and document electronic and electrical system requirements on complex projects.

  • Translate complex requirements into system architecture, hardware/software designs, and interface specifications.

  • Lead testing and validation of complex system designs to ensure operational and functional requirements are met.

  • Manage critical supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.

  • Assign responsibilities to team members while ensuring technical accuracy and consistency of deliverables.

  • Research emerging technologies for potential application to company business needs.

Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance

  • Previous experience in defense or aerospace industry.

  • Bachelor of Science or higher in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Data Science, or Computer Science.

  • 9+ years of systems engineering experience, including requirements analysis, functional decomposition, integrated design, evaluation, and verification.

  • 9+ years of experience in avionics hardware/software development, design, production, and project management.

  • 9+ years of experience in process development, qualification, physical/functional integration, installation design, and resolving supplier technical issues.

  • 9+ years of experience with hardware and LRU development, testing, and qualification.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience with advanced cockpit displays (HUD, UFCD, LAD) and mission systems avionics.

  • Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance strongly preferred.

  • Experience with commercial and military avionics systems.

  • Supplier and supply chain management experience.

  • Proposal development experience.
