JOB TITLE: Design Engineer
LOCATION: 
Orlando, FL (Telework <50%)
PAY RATE: $53.65/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

  • Clearance: Active Secret Clearance required to start

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Serve as a key member of the Material Review Board (MRB).

  • Review non-conforming hardware for performance impact.

  • Identify root cause and ensure corrective actions are implemented to prevent recurrence.

  • Coordinate efforts across Mechanical, Quality, and Manufacturing teams.

  • Support and participate in weekly leadership status meetings.

  • Lead investigative efforts and present findings to interdisciplinary teams.

Requirements:

  • Active Secret Clearance required to start

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (Engineering discipline preferred).

  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) in accordance with ASME Y14.5.

  • Ability to perform tolerance analysis.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience using Creo design software.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in root cause and corrective action (RCCA).

  • Minimum 2 years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, parts lists, specifications, and technical documents.

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

  • Failure analysis experience.

  • GD&T proficiency.

  • CAD experience (1–2 years minimum).

  • Experience leading investigations and reporting status to cross-functional teams.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
