JOB TITLE: Design Engineer
LOCATION: Littleton, CO
PAY RATE: $68.51/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

  • Clearance: Active DoD Secret clearance required.

Qualifying Questions:

  • Are you a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance?

  • Do you meet the educational and experience requirements for this role?

  • Can you commute to the job location or relocate if necessary?

Summary: 

  • Designs and captures electrical schematics for avionics products.

  • Guides PCB board layouts for circuit card assemblies.

  • Performs electrical Worst Case Analysis for design validation.

  • Performs Electrical Parts Stress Analysis for component selection and reliability.

  • Resolves test anomalies and troubleshoots electronic hardware issues.

  • Performs failure Investigation on electronic hardware at CCA, unit, and system level.

  • Uses schematic capture tools such as Xpedition or similar.

  • Uses electronics simulation tools such as PSPICE, Saber, or equivalent.

  • Performs Failure Modes and Effects Critical Analysis (FMECA) for system safety.

  • Supports system level testing for avionics product certification.

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

  • Active DoD Secret clearance required.

  • Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.

  • Experience in digital circuit design at the card or board level schematic and analysis.

  • Experience with schematic capture using Xpedition or similar tools.

  • Experience with PSPICE, Saber, or other electronics simulation tools.

  • Experience performing Worst Case Analysis, Electrical Parts Stress Analysis, and Failure Modes and Effects Critical Analysis.

  • Experience performing failure investigation on electronic hardware (CCA, unit, and system level).

  • Experience supporting technical evaluation of design and requirements verification.

  • Experience in different phases of aerospace hardware development cycle.
