Job Description

JOB TITLE: Electronic Systems Design Engineers

LOCATION: Everett, WA

PAY RATE: $75.00 per hour.

Summary: 

  • Collaborates with customers to define complex electronic and electrical system requirements.

  • Transforms requirements into system designs, including hardware and software, and interface specifications.

  • Conducts testing and validation to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.

  • Supervises supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.

  • Provides support for fielded hardware and software throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Researches emerging technologies for potential application to company needs.

  • Offers technical and design support for production, product support, and in-service issues.

  • Effectively troubleshoots intricate system problems according to operational protocols.

  • Conducts studies and assessments to support technology development and identifies emerging industry standards.

  • Leads the development, tracking, and management of complex electronic/electrical system requirements.

  • Guides and mentors less experienced engineers and leads small requirements development teams.

  • Analyzes operational and functional requirements, allocating system requirements to electronic/electrical system/subsystems.

  • Translates requirements into hardware, software, and interface specifications.

  • Designs complex electronic/electrical systems considering quality, performance, reliability, and other factors.

  • Ensures successful integration between interfacing systems/subsystems and components.

  • Oversees supplier technical teams and coordinates procurement and development.

  • Validates system design through testing, traceability analysis, and verification.

  • Participates in design reviews and ensures compliance and certification documentation.

Required Skills:

  • A Bachelor's degree and typically a minimum of five years of experience in an engineering role, or a Master's degree with typically a minimum of three years of experience in an engineering role, or a Ph.D. degree with relevant experience in an engineering role.

  • ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Desired Skills:

  • Authoring of system functional tests, working knowledge of wire diagrams and schematics, and prior customer introduction experience.

  • Proficiency with software tools and applications, understanding of aircraft certification.
