JOB TITLE: Geospatial Engineer 
LOCATION: 
Virginia Beach, VA
PAY RATE: $52-82/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (Up to 6 months with potential for extension)

Summary: 

  • Create detailed and accurate 3D models of buildings, structures, and site layouts using Trimble SketchUp

  • Interpret architectural drawings, engineering plans, floor layouts, and imagery to generate precise 3D representations

  • Analyze historical imagery to determine building design, layout, and construction methods

  • Perform mensuration to accurately recreate objects in 3D environments

  • Recreate real-world surface and sub-surface structures in high-fidelity virtual environments

  • Apply GIS tools to transform vector and raster data into required formats and integrate datasets into 3D environments

  • Import, symbolize, and integrate GIS and 3D content into TerraExplorer projects

  • Build and maintain interactive fly-through presentations in TerraExplorer

  • Develop accurate building models using multiple intelligence sources

  • Apply weaponeering solutions to physics-based models

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop mission planning products

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members and stakeholders

  • Clearly communicate predictive modeling results to technical and non-technical audiences

Requirements:

  • Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI

  • Pre-deployment physical required

  • Approximately 10% TDY

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally on short notice

  • Required availability for short-notice recall

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR)

Desired Skills:

  • Proficiency in creating accurate building models derived from multiple intelligence sources

  • Ability to apply weaponeering solutions to developed models

  • Skilled in interpreting architectural drawings, engineering plans, floor layouts, and imagery

  • Experience with mensuration and 3D recreation of objects from imagery

  • Familiarity with vector and raster data formats

  • Ability to convert geospatial data to required formats and map projections

  • Experience importing, symbolizing, and integrating GIS and 3D data into TerraExplorer

  • Ability to build and maintain interactive fly-through presentations in TerraExplorer

  • Strong communication skills, able to explain predictive modeling results to technical and non-technical audiences
