JOB TITLE: Embedded Software Engineer - DEFENSE 
LOCATION: Orlando, FL
PAY RATE: $71.59/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Summary: 

  • Seeking a Real-Time C++ (2025) Embedded Software Engineer with 6+ years of experience developing embedded real-time Operational Flight Program (OFP) software for missile systems.

  • Work involves Linux/RTOS environments on multi-core processors.

Requirements:

  • Secret Clearance required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field

  • 6+ years of C++ (2025) embedded real-time, object-oriented development using Linux on multi-core processors

  • 3+ years of experience in one or more of the following:

    • Inertial navigation

    • Guidance & autopilot

    • Launch sequence & control

    • Gimbal LOS control

    • IR seeker image processing

  • 3+ years of experience with 1553 interface

  • 3+ years working in agile environments (Scrum, Kanban) using GitLab and Bitbucket

  • Familiarity with FreeRTOS, Yocto, or Linux (CentOS7)

  • Working knowledge of C++ design patterns for embedded systems

  • Hands-on experience with software / firmware / hardware integration

  • Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle (requirements → design → code → integration → test → verification)

  • Familiarity with DevSecOps workflows and tools (CI/CD pipelines, automated testing)

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
