Summary:
Assemble, disassemble, and modify aerospace vehicle systems by replacing, upgrading, or repairing components.
Configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
Troubleshoot complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to isolate faults and repair components.
Perform validation/verification testing of systems and components.
Document procedures and processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance.
Perform maintenance, repair, inspection, fabrication, and modification of conventional weapons systems, electronic and electro-mechanical components, fire control systems, electro-environmental systems, bomb navigation systems, and subassemblies.
Conduct pretest, operational, functional, electrical, mechanical, and final testing of systems on and off equipment.
Execute configuration changes of control, launch, release, and suspension assemblies based on mission requirements.
Perform explosive operations including loading, positioning, arming, and safing of conventional air munitions and pyrotechnics.
Maintain work areas, control tools, and complete work control documents per established procedures.
Requirements:
Clearance: Secret required to start
High School Diploma or equivalent; 4+ years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience (vocational school/Associate + 2 years, or Bachelor’s degree).
3–5 years military avionics or related experience, preferably on helicopters.
Experience with testing, repair, and configuration of aerospace systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.).
Ability to lift/move up to 40 lbs; PPE provided.
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience with M240 maintenance, chaff/flare uploading, explosive handling, or squib operations.
Knowledge of IMDS, AF-21-10, and TO 00-20-1 procedures.
Military background, helicopter maintenance experience, and AMP experience.
