JOB TITLE: MH-139 Aircraft Maintenance Technician - DEFENSE
LOCATION: Maxwell AFB, AL

PAY RATE: $35-43/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

  • Shifts: 1st Shift 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Monday–Friday, 2nd Shift 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM Monday–Thursday, with occasional weekend shifts for comp time

  • Shift Flexibility: Candidates must be available for all shifts due to program needs

  • Overtime: Limited

  • Security Clearance: Secret required to start

Summary: 

  • Support USAF Reserve unit maintaining MH-139 Grey Wolf helicopters.

  • Troubleshoot integrated conventional weapons systems, electronic/electromechanical components, fire control systems, electro-environmental systems, and test equipment.

  • Perform maintenance, repair, inspection, fabrication, and modification of aircraft systems and subassemblies.

  • Remove/install components and associated test equipment.

  • Conduct pretest, operational, functional, electrical, mechanical, and final testing.

  • Implement configuration changes per mission requirements.

  • Handle explosives operations, including loading/unloading, arming, and safing conventional munitions and pyrotechnics.

  • Maintain tools, work area, and documentation according to established procedures.

  • Shift work may vary; currently on a 2-shift schedule with potential 3rd shift in the future.

Requirements:

  • Secret clearance required to start

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 3–5 years of military avionics or related experience

  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Word, etc.)

  • Experience with testing, repair, and system configuration

  • Ability to lift/move up to 40 lbs.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with M240 maintenance, uploading chaff/flare, and explosive handling

  • Knowledge of IMDS, AF-21-10, TO 00-20-1

  • Military background

  • Helicopter maintenance experience

  • AMP experience
