JOB TITLE: MP&P Engineer 4 - Electrical
LOCATION: Berkeley, MO
PAY RATE: $91/hour

Summary: 

  • Electrical / Component & Assembly Responsibilities:

    • Apply electrical and electronic engineering expertise to evaluate and qualify components for assembly and subassembly design.

    • Support subcontractors and suppliers to ensure component compliance with Boeing standards and contract requirements.

    • Recommend new or alternate electrical components for new product development and legacy programs.

    • Represent the client at national electrical and electronic component committees.

    • Utilize project management tools to meet cost, schedule, and technical objectives.

    • Incorporate EHS, LEAN, and Quality principles across materials, processes, labs, and work procedures.

    • Lead work statements, define strategies, and provide technical consultation while keeping leadership informed.

  • Electrical Obsolescence & DMSMS Responsibilities:

    • Conduct obsolescence forecasting and monitoring using component tracking tools, OEM/supplier data, and predictive systems.

    • Monitor GIDEP alerts and provide obsolescence status reports to programs and government customers (Navy, Air Force, DoE, etc.).

    • Develop mitigation strategies, business case analyses, and presentations for DMSMS resolutions.

    • Lead DMSMS meetings with internal and external DoD and industry stakeholders.

    • Support technical and cost proposal development.

    • Develop counterfeit detection testing to assess electrical component authenticity.

    • Review Statements of Work and Contract Deliverables for DMSMS compliance.

    • Maintain and improve software tools used in obsolescence management.

    • Identify and mitigate obsolescence risks for current and future programs.

Requirements:

  • Interim Secret Clearance is required 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (Note: Electrical Engineering Technology degrees will not be accepted).

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Obsolescence Management, DMSMS, or Component Engineering.

  • Experience managing Bills of Material (BOMs) and researching alternate or replacement components.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Military or defense background.

  • Avionics systems experience.
