JOB TITLE: Design & Analysis Engineer 2
LOCATION: Berkeley, MO
PAY RATE: $53-63/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Apply engineering principles, standards, and practices to develop and maintain electronic/electrical system requirements.

  • Draft statements of work, technical performance specs, and translate requirements into system architectures, hardware/software designs, and interface specifications with full traceability.

  • Define and execute test/validation methods to confirm performance, while resolving integration issues and production anomalies.

  • Research emerging technologies for future designs and provide lifecycle support, including solving fielded hardware/software issues.

  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance and integration.

  • 100% onsite at St. Louis-area locations; some programs may require domestic or international travel.

  • F-47: Next-generation fighter for the U.S. Air Force

  • T-7A: Next-generation trainer for the U.S. Air Force

  • F/A-18, EA-18G, F-15, F-22: Tactical fighters and major upgrades

  • Phantom Works: Advanced development programs

  • MQ-25: Autonomous carrier-based refueling aircraft

  • Engineering Capability Centers: Cybersecurity, product security, flight simulation, radar, advanced mission systems

  • Precision Engagement Systems (PES): JDAM, SDB, MOP, HAAWC, SLAM ER, Harpoon, and derivatives

  • Global Services: Training, sustainment, product support

  • Test and Evaluation

Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required); Final Secret/Top-Secret clearance and/or Special Program Access may be required post-start.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

  • Associate (Level 2): Bachelor’s + 2+ years of experience, or Master’s + relevant experience.

  • Experienced (Level 3): Bachelor’s + 5+ years, or equivalent education/experience.

  • ABET accreditation preferred but not required.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

  • Reside in or willing to relocate to the St. Louis, Missouri region.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Aerospace industry experience.

  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills with the ability to work in teams.

  • Experience in design/build or test teams, engineering processes, and electronic/electrical system design or testing.

  • Knowledge of data structures, system design, and architecture.
