JOB TITLE: Senior Aircraft Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift
LOCATION: Savannah, GA
PAY RATE: $36.04/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Summary: 

  • Independently perform aircraft modifications and maintenance, including removal and installation of airframes, landing gear, engine components, electrical systems, and flight controls.

  • Ensure all work meets required procedures, performance expectations, and test specifications.

  • Provide leadership, instruction, and direction to assigned technicians.

  • Act as Mechanical Team Lead (MTL) when assigned or in MTL’s absence.

  • Coordinate with Inspection to maintain FAA compliance and complete proper documentation.

  • Safeguard and properly tag/store customer property and components.

  • Operate ground support equipment and supervise installation/removal of major aircraft components.

  • Coordinate aircraft movement and support flight test installations.

  • Support training of new employees in systems, manuals, and maintenance procedures.

  • Utilize Lean and 6S practices to ensure a clean, safe, and organized workspace.

  • May participate in flight testing during certification or final phase operations.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Minimum of 4 years of aviation maintenance experience.

  • At least 3 years of experience working on mid-size to large aircraft.

  • Corporate aircraft experience preferred.

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic Certificate required.

  • Valid driver’s license required.

  • Advanced understanding of inspection and maintenance procedures for various aircraft models.

  • Proficiency with maintenance manuals, IPCs, service bulletins, structural repair manuals, engineering drawings, and airworthiness directives.

  • Working knowledge of FAA regulations, Repair Station and Quality Control manuals, and internal procedures.

  • Ability to create parts demands and charge labor through a material tracking system.

  • Familiarity with CMP maintenance programs and service resources.

  • Ability to train others and maintain high-quality standards by example.

  • Strong organizational habits and adherence to cleanliness/safety protocols.

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
