JOB TITLE: Aircraft Final Line Mechanic II - 2nd Shift
LOCATION: Savannah, GA
PAY RATE: $28.75/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Summary: 

  • Work collaboratively in a team environment to install, assemble, and adjust aircraft parts, components, lines, and cables using appropriate tools, blueprints, and specifications.

  • Ensure work meets all operational and quality standards through final inspection.

  • May assist in mentoring junior mechanics.

  • Assemble and install aircraft structures, control cables, landing gear, doors, engines, and associated components

  • Remove, replace, cut, and fit system components and lines to support repairs

  • Ensure quality and conformity of all installations; perform rework as necessary

  • Install systems (valves, ducts, lines) and ensure leak-free performance

  • Use specialized tools including permaswage pumps, gauges, dies, and jigs

  • Troubleshoot and perform basic mechanical and structural repairs

  • Complete and sign all required logs and records (MIRs, DMTs, Crabs, PCOs, etc.)

  • Verify own work and inspect work of junior mechanics as needed

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment; support FOD and 5S programs

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives

  • Support aircraft certification and flight testing as required

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 3+ years of aerospace, aviation, or equivalent mechanical experience (e.g., auto, heavy equipment)

  • A&P License preferred

  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics

  • Skilled in close-tolerance work, drilling, reaming, and fitting parts

  • Ability to operate hydraulic mule pumps, fixtures, and jigs

  • Comfortable working in confined spaces, climbing ladders/stairs, and lifting up to 50 lbs

  • Experience with Solumina and Smarteam preferred

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
