Job Description

JOB TITLE: Sr. Avionics Installer - 1st Shift
LOCATION: Dallas, TX
PAY RATE: $33.81/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Summary: 

  • Provide direction to technicians; ensure tasks are completed within allotted timeframes

  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure on-time aircraft delivery

  • Install, modify, and fabricate wiring, electrical components, fixtures, and associated equipment in accordance with blueprints, worksheets, and engineering drawings

  • Train and mentor team members in associated work assignments

  • Apply advanced skills and innovation to improve team efficiency and quality

  • Assist engineering with troubleshooting and repairs per engineering direction

  • Maintain accurate logs and records

  • Ensure all work meets regulatory and customer requirements

  • Enforce compliance with the company’s FOD program, tool control, 5S, and safety procedures

  • Inspect completed work, including that of other team members, to ensure defect-free assemblies prior to final inspection

  • Properly maintain shop equipment and tools as assigned

  • Coordinate shift transitions in the absence of the team leader

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., YIAW, Kaizen events)

  • Assist or back up the team coordinator as needed

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Either:

    • Two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics and two (2) years of related work experience, or

    • Four (4) years of experience in an avionics/electronic career field

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams

  • Working knowledge of policies and procedures, inspection manuals, and relevant process specifications

  • Proven ability to quickly transition to new tasks with minimal impact on goals or schedule

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency with computer use and basic keyboarding skills

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
