JOB TITLE: RS Aircraft Technician I

Summary: 

• Perform basic aircraft inspections, repairs, and modifications under supervision. Assist with aircraft movement as needed.

• Complete CMP cards, work order sign-offs, and other documentation accurately and on time.

• Ensure all work meets quality standards and specifications.

• Identify and tag customer property and equipment.

• Store aircraft components and customer property securely.

• Operate ground support equipment (external power carts, hydraulic units, lifts, forklifts, compressed gas cylinders, etc.) following standard procedures.

• Protect customer property at all times.

• Use material tracking system to create parts demand and charge labor to Work Orders, items, and squawks.

• Collect and dispose of waste fuel, oil, hydraulic and de-icing fluids, and solvent rags properly.

• Apply 6S and Lean initiatives to maintain clean and organized work areas.

• Maintain and properly store company-provided tools and equipment after use.

• Follow safety rules and procedures, use protective equipment, and report unsafe conditions.

• Assist with aircraft certification and final phase testing, including flight tests as required.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.

• FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate or 2 years of aviation maintenance experience.

• Valid Driver’s License.

• Working knowledge of FAA regulations, process specifications, Repair Station and Quality Control manuals, and company policies and procedures.

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
