Job Description

JOB TITLE: RS Aircraft Cabinet Finisher I - Weekend Days Shift
LOCATION: Dallas, TX
PAY RATE: $24.50/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

Summary: 

  • Under direct supervision, learns entry-level technical skills, regulatory requirements, and tooling used in the Cabinet Finish shop.

  • Continues developing technical competency and problem-solving abilities to advance to technician level.

  • Follows standard safety and operating procedures, using engineering drawings, tools, and materials such as sandpaper, polishes, adhesives, solvents, and masking mediums to develop proficiency in cabinet preparation and finishing.

  • Utilizes the material tracking system to create parts demands, track squawks, and sign off completed work.

  • Complies with all safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies.

  • Uses personal protective equipment and ensures aircraft interiors are protected (PTP).

  • Assists in related initiatives as needed.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Experience in woodworking, wood finishing, or auto body and painting in a technical environment preferred.

  • Completion of a Technical Certificate in cabinetmaking and/or a current-year youth apprenticeship program in a relevant field is also preferred.

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs, work in confined spaces, lift up to 40 pounds, and work any shift.

  • Must be computer literate.

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
