JOB TITLE: RS Aircraft Structural Mechanic III - 2nd Shift
LOCATION: Dallas, TX
PAY RATE: $30.17/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Summary: 

  • Assemble and fit detail parts and structures using proper tools and techniques

  • Perform sheet metal layout, fabrication, and installation on aircraft

  • Drill, rivet, and install structural components with portable and pneumatic tools

  • Remove fasteners and make repairs without damaging surrounding structures

  • Interpret blueprints, operation sheets, sketches, and engineering documents

  • Verify accuracy and quality of all completed work before inspection

  • Train and assist teammates with blueprints and production methods

  • Use jigs, fixtures, and clamps for part alignment and complex assemblies

  • Complete repairs as directed by DMTs, MRRs, and PCOs

  • Maintain logs, records, and accurate job charging to the aircraft

  • Support 5S, Lean initiatives, and maintain a clean, safe work environment

  • Properly collect and dispose of hazardous materials and shop waste

  • Communicate job progress across shifts via turnover reports and meetings

  • Operate and maintain company-provided tools and ground support equipment

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives

  • Follow SOPs for tool/equipment use and maintenance

  • Work across shifts and adapt quickly to changing tasks and schedules

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • 4+ years of structural assembly experience

  • Ability to read blueprints, engineering orders, and technical documents

  • Skilled in sheet metal work and structural assembly using hand and pneumatic tools

  • Knowledge of composite resins and materials

  • Proficient in close-tolerance work and safe handling of sealants/adhesives

  • Basic computer and shop math skills

  • Ability to climb ladders/stairs, work in tight spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs

  • Must be able to work any shift

  • Attention to detail, teamwork, and strong communication skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

Desired Skills:

  • Aerospace industry experience preferred

  • Experience with Solumina and SmarTeam preferred

  • Q-stamp preferred
