JOB TITLE: Sr Aircraft Maintenance Technician

Summary:
Perform required periodic maintenance and servicing of all aircraft mechanical systems.
Consistently complete assigned tasks within quoted or standard CMP time.
Provide work direction for assigned technicians; promote high-quality standards through instruction and example.
Act on behalf of the Mechanical Team Lead (MTL) in their absence, assuming duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Coordinate with the Inspection Department to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection/documentation requirements.
Complete work order sign-offs, shift turnovers, and paperwork accurately and on time.
Ensure all work meets quality standards and specifications.
Properly identify (tag), store, and secure customer property and equipment, including aircraft components.
Follow SOPs and JSAs when operating ground support equipment (e.g., power supply, hydraulic rigs, nitrogen carts, oxygen service carts).
Operate and oversee special support equipment used in major component removal/installation.
Coordinate aircraft movement as required.
Assist in training new employees in the use of CMP maintenance manuals, SRMs, IPCs, flight test installations, and maintenance of major components.
Coordinate with other departments for overhaul or repair of customer property as needed.
Use the material tracking system to create parts demands and charge labor to correct work orders/item numbers.
Apply 6S and Lean Initiatives to maintain clean, safe, and organized shops, hangars, and work areas. Properly collect and dispose of waste (fuel, oil, hydraulic fluids, de-icing fluids, solvent rags).
Apply Lean/continuous improvement processes to all areas of responsibility.
Properly use, care for, and return company-provided tools and equipment.
Support aircraft certification and final phase testing, which may include flight tests.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required
4 years of aviation maintenance experience, including 3 years on mid/large-size aircraft
Corporate aircraft experience preferred
FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic Certificate required
Valid Driver’s License required
Advanced knowledge of inspection and maintenance procedures for multiple aircraft models and systems within each product line.
Advanced knowledge of technical reference materials, including maintenance manuals, IPCs, service bulletins, structural repair manuals, engineering drawings, and ADS.
Working knowledge of FAA regulations, process specifications, Repair Station and Quality Control manuals, and company policies/procedures.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
