JOB TITLE: Systems Engineer 4 – Architecting Requirements & Interfaces
LOCATION: Hazelwood, MO
PAY RATE: $88/hour

Summary: 

  • Lead or support system architecture development and decomposition using MBSE tools (SysML/Cameo/MSOSA) to define interfaces, functions, and allocations across multiple domains

  • Lead or support cross-functional engineering teams in developing systems aligned with program requirements and milestones, including design review participation

  • Support implementation of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) within the broader digital engineering ecosystem

  • Perform systems engineering activities including:

    • Requirements decomposition and management

    • System architecture and system-level analysis

    • Specification development

    • Trade studies and program planning

    • Interface definition and management

    • Risk analysis and mitigation

    • Certification, verification, and validation planning

    • Test strategy development

  • Capture systems engineering artifacts within MBSE models as appropriate

Requirements:

  • Active Secret Clearance (required)

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 7+ years of relevant engineering experience with a Bachelor’s degree (or 3+ years with a relevant Master’s or PhD)

  • Experience in systems engineering including design, functional decomposition, requirements development, verification, and validation

  • Experience with MBSE tools such as Cameo, MSOSA, and/or SysML

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications;

  • Experience developing system architectures for complex aerospace vehicles or subsystems using MBSE methodologies

  • Leadership experience in architecture development or lead systems engineering roles

  • Knowledge of engineering tradeoffs across affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human factors, survivability, security, and certification considerations

  • Familiarity with aircraft or flight systems across mechanical, electrical, or software domains
