JOB TITLE: Structural Analysis Engineer 3 
LOCATION: Berkeley, MO
PAY RATE: $82/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (6 months with potential for extension)

  • Clearance Requirement: Must be able to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required). Interim and/or final Secret Clearance required post-start.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Develop, integrate, and document structural requirements to establish system design.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional engineering groups to define the product operating environment.

  • Guide product design and verify structural integrity using:

    • Analytical methods

    • Finite Element Models (FEM) and simulations

    • Other structural analysis tools

  • Support the full product lifecycle, including development of structural environment, characteristics, and performance criteria.

  • Develop test plans and configurations.

  • Support test execution and analyze/report test results to validate that systems and components meet requirements and specifications.

  • Define and document certification evidence and test results to demonstrate compliance to customers and regulatory agencies.

  • Support in-service products by investigating failures and recommending design improvements.

  • Work under general direction.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required). Interim and/or final Secret Clearance required post-start.

  • Education and experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited institution (e.g., Bachelor’s degree) and typically 5 or more years of related work experience.

  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience accepted (e.g., Master’s degree plus 3 years of related experience, PhD with relevant experience).

  • In the U.S., ABET accreditation is preferred, though not required.

  • Experience performing hand calculations for structural analysis.

  • Experience using industry CAD systems (NX/Teamcenter preferred).

  • Experience using FEM software (PATRAN/NASTRAN preferred).
