JOB TITLE: Manufacturing Planner 2
LOCATION: Huntsville, AL
PAY RATE: $41.25/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

  • Clearance: Secret clearance (required after start)

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes and production planning

  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineering teams to review build flows and ensure producibility

  • Create and maintain manufacturing work instructions

  • Identify and resolve manufacturing issues to improve:

    • Product quality

    • Production efficiency

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to:

    • Reduce waste

    • Improve cycle times

    • Enhance overall manufacturing performance

  • Ensure compliance with:

    • Safety standards

    • Quality standards

    • Regulatory requirements

Requirements:

  • Secret clearance (required after start)

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing planning and production support

  • Experience with:

    • CAD software

    • Manufacturing simulation tools

  • Strong skills in:

    • Problem-solving

    • Communication

    • Project management

  • Ability to:

    • Read and interpret engineering drawings

    • Follow and enforce standardized manufacturing processes

    • Work with work instructions and process procedures

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • STEM-focused Associate’s degree

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, including presenting technical concepts to diverse audiences

  • Competency in:

    • Model-Based Design

    • Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

    • MESci or similar manufacturing systems

    • Material Resource Planning (MRP) systems (e.g., CompassContract)

  • Experience with:

    • CAD software suites

    • Windchill or similar engineering data management systems

    • Siemens Teamcenter
