Job Description

JOB TITLE: Conformal Coating Tech 
LOCATION: Clearwater, FL
PAY RATE: Up to $23/hour

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Operate equipment such as conformal coat machines, silicone coating systems, ovens, etc.

  • Conduct pre-coating testing and inspection

  • Apply masking materials and underfill per specifications

  • Program and operate automated conformal coating machines

  • Perform inspection and touch-up of conformal coatings

  • Evaluate current coating processes and recommend improvements

  • Perform tasks across the Mechanical Assembly operation including: washing, baking, underfilling, masking, curing, demasking, cleaning/touch-up, selective soldering, and depaneling

  • Populate PCBs according to Work Instructions, Assembly Drawings, and BOMs

  • Assemble components and sub-assemblies, ensuring proper fit and connection

  • Install and inspect electronic components during assembly

  • Use hand and power tools, assembly palettes, and follow ESD procedures

  • Meet daily/weekly/monthly production targets

  • Conduct mechanical inspections to ensure assemblies meet IPC standards

  • Effectively communicate issues, progress, and performance to leadership

  • Collaborate with Quality and Engineering teams to resolve challenges and meet goals

  • Participate in shift pass-downs to ensure smooth transitions

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Typically 3+ years of experience in electronics mechanical assembly or inspection

  • IPC-610 CIS Certification

  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity

  • Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability

  • Familiarity with ESD protocols

  • Ability to interpret blueprints, job routers, schematics, and written instructions

  • Computer experience (Solumina preferred)

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to support production and customer needs

  • Must be available for 2nd shift (Mon–Thurs, 3:30 PM–2:00 AM)

  • Overtime is available and encouraged, especially on weekends

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
