Job Description

JOB TITLE: Composite Stress Analysis Engineer

LOCATION: Tulsa, OK

PAY RATE: $75.00 - $95.00 per hour 

***MUST BE US PERSONS***

Required Skills: 

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in STRESS - Focus should be in AIRFRAME stress
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution, with a concentration in a relevant Engineering discipline
  • NOT tooling, systems, general interiors, satellites, pods, etc.
  • Strong COMPOSITES experience & knowledge is required. 
  • Preference given to those candidates with Nastran/Patran experience. 
  • Nastran/Patran, Primary Airframe Composite Structures, hand calculations experience. 
  • Experience in aircraft or spacecraft composite fabrication, design, and analysis processes
  •  Knowledge of composites manufacturing and sizing of composite structures using FEA models, including pre and post processing of NASTRAN models and associated sizing of composite structures. 
  • Proficiency in Nastran/Patran
  • Experience with free-body diagrams and classical stress analysis techniques. 
  • Hand calculations experince is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent computer skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with the design of flight vehicles or vehicle systems to a set of requirements or standards such as CFR 14, Part 400, Part 23 and 25, military or NASA are highly desired
  • Minimum 10 years or more of applicable experience in the analysis of structural systems using strength of materials and finite element-based methods

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with manufacturing-based ERP systems, such as Oracle, is a plus 
  • Hands-on experience with composites part fabrication and assembly processes a plus. 
  • Pilot, aircraft homebuilding and rapid prototyping experience a strong plus.
  • Turbo Prop experience a huge plus
