Job Description

JOB TITLE: Composite Repair Technician 

LOCATION: Kinston, NC

PAY RATE: $42.00/hr

We are a national staffing firm working with some of the top-tier aerospace companies in the world! And we are looking for first-class employees to work with our clients. 

 Qualifying Questions:

Details: 

  • 12-month contract with opportunities for extension

  • Pay and per diem ($110/week for qualified candidates)

  • Must work any shift, including overtime/weekends as needed

  • Must stand for entire 8-hour shift

Summary: 

  • Lay out, assemble, and bond metal, composite, or laminate fabrications, parts, skins, or equipment.

  • Follow engineering and manufacturing specs to determine parts, temperature, and pressure requirements.

  • Cut materials to size and operate autoclave, hydraulic presses, and ovens for bonding.

  • Sand, smooth, and apply sealing resins.

  • Perform rework, repair, and quality verification as needed.

  • Use lay-up tools and precision instruments to meet engineering specs.

  • Handle solvents and cleaning solutions per established procedures and perform minor machine maintenance.

  • Move products within the work area and support continuous workflow by training others.

Required Skills:

  • 2-5 years of Composite Repair experience (required)

  • Aerospace experience (required)

  • Local candidates strongly preferred

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
