JOB TITLE: Composite Mechanic
LOCATION: Kinston, NC
PAY RATE: $34/hour

Summary: 

  • Assemble, pre-fit, and bond various metal, composite, or laminate parts and assemblies according to engineering and manufacturing specifications. Responsibilities include:

  • Laying out and cutting materials to size.

  • Operating autoclaves, hydraulic presses, and ovens to complete bonding cycles.

  • Sanding, deburring, and applying sealing resins to edges.

  • Utilizing lay-up tools (optical and hard) for composite and metal assembly fabrication.

  • Reading and interpreting prints, charts, sketches, and work orders.

  • Using shop math and precision instruments to ensure work meets specifications.

  • Performing minor machine maintenance and ensuring equipment/tool certifications.

  • Supporting workflow by moving products within the manufacturing area and training other employees.

  • Performing rework or repairs as needed.

Required Skills:

  • 2–5 years of experience in composites (aerospace experience required).

  • Ability to start immediately.

  • Local candidates strongly preferred.

  • Pay includes a $110/week per diem for qualified candidates.
