Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)
Clearance: Active Secret clearance preferred; inactive considered (interim required to start)

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:
Provide components engineering support for new designs, including component selection and analysis.
Address DMSMS (diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortages) issues and obsolescence management.
Support standardization, engineering data definition, part standards, and procurement control requirements.
Resolve quality issues and drive process improvements.
Act as liaison between vendors, procurement, customers, and subcontractors.
Perform part substitution, second-source qualification, and counterfeit part avoidance.
Generate customer reports and prepare procurement specifications.
Resolve development and production part issues.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree (Electrical Engineering or related field preferred)
Active Secret clearance preferred; inactive considered (interim required to start)
Experience in electrical component manufacturing processes and physical property analysis
Experience in components engineering (integrated circuits and discrete components)
Experience with new component releases and qualification
Experience processing BOM changes using Agile or PTC Windchill PLM systems
Experience in parts selection and qualification
8–10 years of experience using Microsoft Office (documentation, BOM updates)
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with DMSMS management
Experience with component failure analysis, pure tin issues, and counterfeit part detection
Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
