Summary:
Drive the architecture, schematic capture, and PCB layout for a high-visibility MFC program. Partner closely with cross-functional teams to accelerate design, procurement, and test, guiding each design through the Design Assurance process from concept to release.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Electrical Engineering and cross-functional teams to solve integration and interface challenges.
Define, refine, and document system, performance, and interface requirements.
Design and support multiple circuit card assemblies (CCAs), flex prints, and cable harnesses.
Own bills of materials (BOMs), part sourcing, and build activities.
Select electrical connectors and develop cable routing layouts.
Evaluate and troubleshoot issues; provide technical direction for failure investigations.
Take end-to-end ownership from concept through implementation.
Communicate progress, risks, and tradeoffs clearly to stakeholders.
Requirements:
Must be a U.S. citizen to comply with security clearance requirements.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) from an accredited institution, plus 3+ years of professional experience.
Hands-on experience with circuit card design, integration, and test.
Experience developing and refining system/performance/interface/environmental requirements.
Proficiency with Siemens Xpedition Enterprise (or equivalent) for schematic capture.
Proficiency with Cadence PSpice (or equivalent) for circuit simulation and analysis.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Desired Skills:
Familiarity with MFC circuit card design processes.
Experience with military standards and specifications (e.g., MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-704).
Experience with Xilinx UltraScale FPGAs.
