JOB TITLE: Circuit Design Engineer - HYBRID

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

• Owns end-to-end circuit card design from initial concept through layout, verification, and release.

• Performs schematic capture and EPCAD layout using Siemens Xpedition Enterprise.

• Develops power distribution circuit card assemblies that meet performance, thermal, and reliability targets.

• Applies routing, signal integrity, and EMI mitigation techniques in circuit board design.

• Defines, documents, and traces system performance, interface, and environmental requirements throughout the design lifecycle.

• Conducts trade off studies to select optimal components, architectures, and manufacturing processes.

• Generates complete design data packages including BOMs, drawings, test plans, and verification results for Design Assurance review.

• Coordinates with mechanical, software, and test teams to synchronize design, procurement, and testing schedules.

• Provides evidence and documentation for each Design Assurance gate ensuring compliance with program standards.

• Applies knowledge of EMI grounding and isolation techniques for power distribution circuits.

Requirements:

• Ability to Obtain a Security Clearance.

• Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of eight years of professional experience.

• Proven experience in circuit card design, integration, and testing for power electronics.

• Proficiency with Siemens Xpedition Enterprise or an equivalent tool for schematic capture.

• Experience developing and refining system requirements including performance, interface, and environmental specifications.

• Experience with system power design and power distribution architecture.

• Knowledge of EMI grounding and isolation techniques.

• Experience using EPCAD for layout and signal routing.

• Understanding of environmental qualification testing including shock and vibration for electronic assemblies.

• Ability to conduct trade studies and produce architecture diagrams and requirements packages.
