Summary: 

Seeking an experienced Cable Inspector to perform visual and dimensional inspections of in-process and completed cable assemblies in accordance with IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards. Responsibilities include identifying non-conformances, reading and interpreting technical documentation, and collaborating with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect cable assemblies using visual criteria and measuring tools (micrometers, dial indicators, etc.).

• Accept or reject assemblies based on specifications, blueprints, and inspection checklists.

• Identify defects per IPC-A-620 and customer-specific standards.

• Perform basic assembly tasks in inspection areas as needed.

• Communicate effectively with assemblers, technicians, engineers, and management.

• Ensure compliance with quality control procedures and documentation.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED

• Must have experience inspecting soldered and crimped cable assemblies per IPC-A-620.

• Prior experience in cable inspection is required.

• Detail-oriented with strong proficiency in reading drawings, diagrams, parts lists, and IPC manuals.

• Proficient with computers (email, file access, SharePoint).

• Able to read and write English.

• Visual Inspection (1–2 years)

• IPC-WHMA-A-620 (1–2 years)

• Wire harness print reading

• Basic computer skills

• Strong written and verbal communication

• Team player with ability to interface professionally across departments

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
