JOB TITLE: Cable Assembly - 1st Shift 
LOCATION: 
Orlando, FL
PAY RATE: $19.80/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

  • Shift: 4/10 – 1st Shift

Summary: 

  • Responsible for building harnesses per wiring diagrams and form boards, following Class 3 IPC standards.

  • Tasks include soldering, crimping, inserting contacts into connectors, and torquing backshells.

  • Must be able to interpret written instructions from mechanical engineering and read engineering schematics independently.

  • Build cable harnesses to wiring diagrams and form boards

  • Perform soldering, crimping, and plugging contacts into connectors

  • Torque backshells according to specifications

  • Follow Class 3 IPC workmanship standards

  • Interpret mechanical drawings and schematics

  • Use hand and power tools, jigs, and saws to complete assemblies

  • Conduct continuity checks and visual inspections on in-process and completed work

  • May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype units

  • Adhere to quality control standards and perform in-line inspections

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • 1–2 years of hands-on cable harness assembly experience

  • 1–2 years reading and interpreting engineering schematics

  • 1–2 years working to the following standards:

    • IPC-WHMA-A-620

    • IPC-A-610

    • IPC-J-STD-001

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
