JOB TITLE: CCA Inspector - 2nd Shift
LOCATION: Clearwater, FL
PAY RATE: Up to $27/hour

Summary: 

We are seeking an experienced CCA Inspector to visually inspect solder and conformal coating on circuit card assemblies (CCAs) in accordance with IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD-001 standards. This position involves using predetermined inspection methods, detailed drawings, inspection instructions, and various measuring devices to ensure assemblies meet both manufacturing and industry specifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform visual inspection of CCAs for soldering and conformal coating per IPC-A-610 & IPC-J-STD-001.

  • Use magnification and microscopes to evaluate quality and compliance of assemblies.

  • Interpret drawings, diagrams, parts lists, inspection checklists, and reference documents.

  • Apply revision control and adhere to all quality and process documentation.

  • Interface with production and quality teams to address and resolve quality issues diplomatically and effectively.

  • Use measurement tools such as dial indicators, preset micrometers, and scales.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Must be able to work under a microscope for extended periods.

  • Minimum 2 years of solder/visual inspection experience, or in lieu of inspection, 3 years of manufacturing/soldering experience with electronic assemblies.

  • Minimum 1 year of conformal coating inspection experience.

  • Must have prior experience inspecting solder connections and/or assembly build work on CCAs per IPC-A-610 & IPC-J-STD-001.

  • Must pass a vision exam.

  • Must be able to read and write in English.

  • IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 certification/experience is required. Resumes must clearly reflect this experience.

  • Highly detail- and process-oriented with strong organizational skills.

  • Skilled at interpreting technical documentation, including drawings and standards.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable interfacing with various teams.

  • Proficient with personal computers and familiar with digital work instructions.

  • Collaborative team player with the ability to maintain professionalism when addressing quality issues across departments.

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
