JOB TITLE: C17 Structures Mechanic – Free Housing Support
LOCATION: San Antonio, TX
PAY RATE: $40.17/hour

Summary:
Support C-17 aircraft maintenance, repair, and modification.
This role involves hands-on mechanical work, interpreting technical documentation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and high-quality aircraft servicing.
Maintain, repair, and modify aircraft structures and components (flight controls, hydraulics, engines, pneumatics, fuel systems)
Diagnose and restore equipment using airframe and powerplant systems
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and manuals
Perform precision drilling, reaming, sealing, painting, and part installation
Work in confined spaces, on vertical ladders, and lift up to 35 lbs
Apply Hazardous Energy and Lock Out/Tag Out safety procedures
Support tooling operations and collaborate with General Mechanics, Avionics, and Electrical teams
Ensure all work meets quality, cost, and schedule targets
Requirements:
High School diploma or GED
4+ years of relevant mechanical or aircraft maintenance experience
Willingness to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays
Must be a U.S. Person (citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
Must pass training assessment
Desired Skills:
Experience with C-17 aircraft
Background in heavy aircraft maintenance
Ability to operate forklifts and electric-powered elevating equipment
