JOB TITLE: C17 Electrical Depot Tech
LOCATION: San Antonio, TX
PAY RATE: $40.60/hour

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Perform electrical modifications and repairs on aircraft systems and components.

  • Execute complex connector terminations (shielded, coaxial, and fiber optic cables).

  • Interpret and follow wire routing, engineering drawings, schematics, and technical orders.

  • Install, route, seal, tie, and secure wire harnesses and electrical assemblies.

  • Conduct functional and quality checks of electrical installations and modifications.

  • Troubleshoot moderate to complex electrical and environmental system issues.

  • Support flight line and bench testing in accordance with all relevant directives.

  • Provide guidance and training to less experienced team members.

  • Lead or assist in complex aircraft-related electrical tasks as needed.

  • Support cross-functional teams including Structures, General Mechanics, and Avionics to meet schedule and cost targets.

  • Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with Lock Out/Tag procedures.

  • Operate precision measuring tools to verify quality and dimensional compliance.

  • Ascend/descend ladders, lift up to 35 lbs, and work in confined spaces.

  • Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as well as scheduled and unscheduled overtime.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with aircraft electrical systems, repairs, and modifications.

  • Working knowledge of electrical/electronic theories, systems, and technical troubleshooting.

  • Familiarity with aircraft-specific tools and publications.

  • Ability to work rotating shifts and adapt to a changing schedule.

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

Desired Skills:

  • Depot-level or modification maintenance experience.

  • Experience operating forklifts, mobile cranes, or powered lift equipment.

  • Leadership or mentoring experience within aircraft maintenance teams.
