Job Description

JOB TITLE: Business Development - Aerospace Manufacturing
LOCATION: Tulsa, OK
SALARY: $140,000-2000,000/year

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

Summary: 

  • Spend approximately 50% of time traveling (including limited international travel) and 50% onsite in-office

  • Generate new business opportunities and expand existing customer relationships focused on long-term production work

  • Develop and maintain a steady pipeline of RFQs and RFPs

  • Support estimating teams with customer follow-ups on quotes and proposals

  • Establish and maintain a 3-year strategic sales plan and forecast with year-over-year growth targets

  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships across all levels (buyers to executives)

  • Develop customer-specific presentations, proposals, and marketing materials in collaboration with internal teams

  • Create capture plans for strategic programs, parts, and target customers

  • Represent the company at trade association meetings and industry events

  • Lead the sales process in collaboration with engineering, estimating, and operations teams

  • Provide market intelligence and input on pricing strategies when applicable

  • Maintain CRM records, customer contact lists, trip logs, and follow-up action items

  • Discuss and negotiate customer contractual terms and conditions with internal and external stakeholders

  • Support technical customer discussions related to manufacturing processes, tooling, certifications, ERP/CAD systems, and capabilities

  • Support proposal development including executive, technical, cost, and management volumes

  • Support contract award activities, including reviews and negotiations

  • Manage customer issues including complaints, returns, warranties, and non-conformance items

  • Participate in continuous improvement (CI), 6S, safety, management of change, and trade compliance initiatives

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Minimum 10 years of sales experience required

  • 10+ years preferred in aerospace manufacturing sales, with strong knowledge of fixed-wing and/or rotary-wing aircraft

  • Familiarity with government and industry regulations and portals (FAR, DFAR, FAA, SAM, JCP, etc.) preferred

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
