We at The Structures Company have an opportunity for you as a Sr. Avionics Software Test Engineer!
Your Mission:
Seeking a talented and motivated Software Test Engineer to join the Avionics Team.
The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience leading safety-critical software verification projects in aerospace or a similar industry.
Establish processes and best practices
Work on development of test planning and test cases for vehicle-, system-, and component-level testing
Work on the development and maintenance of regression testing tools
Required Skills:
Must have a B.S. or M.S. in an Engineering discipline from an accredited university
4-6 years of experience
Experience building and testing software
Preferance in aerospace, defense or medical device
Avionics background is best, but others will be considered(automotive, biomedical, etc.)
Must have a B.S. or M.S. in an Engineering discipline from an accredited university
Experience with embedded system hardware and software
2 or more years of experience leading safety-critical software verification
Experience with component and system-level testing
Experience developing test benches
Experience documenting wiring schematics
LabVIEW and/or Python development skills
Experience with NI Veristand a plus
Experience with Environmental/Electrical Qualification standards such as RTCA-DO160, Mil-STD 461
Experience with requirements-based software verification
Experience with Vectorcast or similar unit testing tools
Experience developing a regression testing framework
Experience writing code in Python.
Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and written communication skills
Applicants must be U.S. persons as defined by the ITAR (22 CFR §120.15
Desired Skills:
Big pluses: Google Test, C++ experience, read C++ code, some expertise in Python script writing.
Any kind of certified aviionics product experience and previous work on flight displays is a plus.
