Job Description

JOB TITLE: Avionics Software Developer Engineer
LOCATION: Tustin, CA
PAY RATE: $80/hour

Summary: 

  • Support the development of safety-critical embedded software systems for aerospace applications, focusing on real-time, high-reliability platforms.

  • The engineer will contribute to the full software lifecycle including design, implementation, integration, and verification of embedded systems operating within regulated aerospace environments.

  • The position requires strong technical depth in embedded C/C++ development, avionics architectures, and hardware/software integration, with a focus on delivering compliant and reliable solutions in accordance with DO-178 standards.

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an Engineering discipline from an accredited university

  • 4+ years of experience developing safety-critical software in aerospace or related industries

  • Strong experience with C and C++ embedded software development

  • Experience working on safety-critical embedded systems in compliance with DO-178 standards

  • Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and ARINC 653 Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) architecture

  • Experience with embedded communication protocols including RS232, RS485, CAN, and Ethernet

  • Experience with SoC configuration and system integration

  • Experience with hardware description languages such as VHDL and Verilog

  • Experience using MATLAB and Simulink for modeling, simulation, and data analysis

  • Proficiency with Atlassian tool suite, including JIRA, Bitbucket (Git), Confluence, and Crucible

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
