Job Description

JOB TITLE: Avionics Manufacturing Engineer - DIRECT/ONSITE
LOCATION: Mojave, CA
SALARY: $80,000-200,000/year

Summary

  • Create wire diagrams using Siemens Capital Logic and harnesses in Capital Harness XC.

  • Apply a strong understanding of electrical diagram standards (connectors, splices, lugs, wire overbraid).

  • Experience as an avionics/electrical liaison engineer is a plus.

  • Develop harness drawings, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.

  • Reference 3D CAD models for integration into 2D drawings.

  • Act as an engineering liaison for the electrical shop.

  • Troubleshoot electrical/avionics test issues and support integrated vehicle testing.

  • Provide timely communication and technical support.

  • Software: Siemens Capital Logic, Capital Harness XC

  • Standards: IPC-620, J-STD

  • Expertise: Wire routing, harness design, cabling

  • Tools: 3D CAD (NX, CATIA, Solidworks), Lab Equipment, MS Office

Experience Levels & Salary

  • Level II: $80,000-$128,700 (2-5 years of experience)

  • Senior Level: $95,500-$153,500 (5-10 years of experience)

  • Staff Level: $124,500-$200,000 (10-20 years of experience)

  • Equivalent education and experience will be considered.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

Desired Skills

  • Experience as an avionics/electrical liaison engineer.

  • Preferred experience with NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), and wiring discrepancy resolution.

  • 3D CAD modeling experience (NX, CATIA, Solidworks).

  • LabView experience.

  • Familiarity with Jira or configuration management systems.

  • Secret clearance eligibility.
