JOB TITLE: Avionics Electrical Technician II
LOCATION: Savannah, GA
PAY RATE: $32.18/hour

  • Contract Length: 12 months (opportunity for extension)

  • Shift: Weekend Day Shift

Summary: 

  • Provides technical expertise in testing, troubleshooting, and repairing aircraft systems while minimizing schedule impact and ensuring safety and quality.

  • May substitute for Senior Avionics/Electrical Technician as needed.

  • Perform avionics and aircraft systems testing and troubleshooting.

  • Install and test electrical/avionics components per engineering specifications, ensuring defect-free systems.

  • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning systems efficiently.

  • Perform repairs including splicing, soldering, and pinning of wiring.

  • Comply with engineering changes and modifications.

  • Set up and operate test equipment for performance and reliability evaluations.

  • Document all work for inspection readiness.

  • Maintain test equipment and components.

  • Follow company FOD, tool control, 5-S, and safety programs.

  • Adapt to schedule changes.

  • Support aircraft certification, including flight tests as required.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • 4 years in avionics/electrical or 2 years of accredited aviation electronics schooling plus 2 years related experience.

  • A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license, FCC, and NCATT preferred.

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting additional aircraft systems (e.g., hydraulics, flight controls) preferred.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Ability to climb stairs, work in confined areas, and lift up to 50 pounds.
