JOB TITLE: Avionics/Electrical Technician II - 2nd Shift
LOCATION: Savannah, GA
PAY RATE: $32.18/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Summary: 

  • Perform advanced avionics and aircraft systems operational testing and troubleshooting.

  • Install and functionally test electrical/avionics components and systems in accordance with engineering specifications, drawings, and maintenance manuals.

  • Ensure high-quality, efficient installations; troubleshoot processes and concepts to deliver timely, quality repairs.

  • Repair or replace defective components and wiring using approved practices, including splicing, soldering, and pinning.

  • Perform and comply with required engineering changes and modifications.

  • Set up and operate test equipment; conduct functional and operational tests to assess performance and reliability.

  • Ensure all work is properly documented and prepared for inspection.

  • Test and maintain test equipment, electronic systems, and components.

  • Adhere to company programs including FOD control, tool control, 5S, and all safety regulations.

  • Adapt effectively to sudden schedule changes.

  • Support aircraft certification and final phase testing, including flight tests as required.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Four (4) years of experience in an avionics/electrical career field or two (2) years of accredited aviation electronics schooling plus two (2) years of related experience.

  • Preferred proficiency in troubleshooting other aircraft systems/disciplines (e.g., hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls, environmental systems, or structural installations/repairs).

  • Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematics.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs.

  • A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license preferred.

  • FCC license preferred.

  • NCATT certification preferred.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
