JOB TITLE: Avionics/Electrical Technician I - 2nd Shift
LOCATION: Savannah, GA
PAY RATE: $25.65/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Summary: 

  • Demonstrate basic technical skills in avionics and aircraft systems operational testing and troubleshooting.

  • Perform, under supervision, the installation and functional testing of electrical/avionics components and systems per engineering specifications, drawings, and maintenance manuals to ensure defect-free systems.

  • Ensure quality and efficiency of all installations. Troubleshoot processes to provide timely, quality repairs of malfunctioning systems.

  • Acquire and demonstrate skills required to repair or replace defective components and wiring, ensuring installations meet conformity. Perform splicing, soldering, and pinning of wiring using acceptable repair practices.

  • Perform and comply with engineering changes and modifications as required.

  • Assist in the setup and operation of test equipment; conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability.

  • Under supervision, ensure all work performed is properly documented and inspection-ready.

  • Test and maintain test equipment, electronic systems, and components.

  • Comply with FOD program, tool control program, 5-S program, and all safety regulations.

  • Support aircraft certification and final phase testing, which may include flight tests.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • 2 years of related work experience or 2 years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics.

  • Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.

  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders, work in confined areas, and lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
