Job Description

JOB TITLE: Avionics/Elecrical Technician I
LOCATION: Savannah, GA
PAY RATE: $25.65/hour

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Assist in troubleshooting and repairing system discrepancies, minimizing schedule impact. Implement process changes to reduce cost while maintaining safety and quality standards.

  • Perform avionics and aircraft systems operational testing and troubleshooting under supervision.

  • Install and test electrical/avionics components per Engineering specifications, ensuring defect-free systems.

  • Assist in ensuring quality and efficiency of installations, troubleshooting systems for timely repairs.

  • Demonstrate effective repair techniques (e.g., splicing, soldering) to ensure installations meet conformity.

  • Comply with engineering changes and modifications.

  • Set up and operate test equipment, conducting functional and operational tests.

  • Document all work performed on aircraft for inspection readiness.

  • Maintain and test electronic systems, components, and test equipment.

  • Adhere to the FOD, tool control, 5-S programs, and safety regulations.

  • May assist with flight tests during aircraft certification and final phase testing.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • 2 years of related work experience or 2 years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams.

  • Ability to climb stairs/ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 pounds.

  • MUST BE US PERSONS
