Summary:
Provide technical expertise in testing, troubleshooting, and repairing aircraft systems to minimize schedule impact, ensuring safety and quality are maintained.
Perform operational testing, installation, and troubleshooting of avionics and electrical systems per engineering specs, drawings, and manuals.
Ensure quality and efficiency in installations and repairs.
Repair or replace defective components using splicing, soldering, and pinning techniques.
Implement engineering changes and modifications as required.
Operate test equipment and conduct functional tests to evaluate system performance.
Document all work thoroughly for inspection.
Comply with FOD, tool control, 5S, and safety programs.
Support aircraft certification and final phase testing, including flight tests when necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Four (4) years of experience in avionics/electrical, or two (2) years of aviation electronics schooling and two (2) years of related experience.
Proficiency in troubleshooting other aircraft systems (e.g., hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls) preferred.
Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined spaces.
Desired Skills:
A&P license preferred.
FCC and NCATT certifications preferred.
