Job Description

JOB TITLE: Avionics Electrical Technician I 
LOCATION: Savannah, GA
PAY RATE: $25.65/hour

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Demonstrates basic skills in avionics and aircraft systems testing and troubleshooting

  • Performs installation and functional testing of electrical/avionics systems per engineering specifications, drawings, and maintenance manuals

  • Assists in troubleshooting to ensure timely, quality repairs and efficient installations

  • Learns and applies effective repair techniques, including splicing, soldering, and pinning of wiring

  • Implements engineering changes and modifications as required

  • Operates and sets up test equipment; conducts performance and reliability tests

  • Ensures all work is properly documented and ready for inspection

  • Tests and maintains test equipment, systems, and electronic components

  • Adheres to company safety programs (FOD, Tool Control, 5S)

  • May support flight tests during aircraft certification and final phase testing

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

 

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • 2 years of related work experience or 2 years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics

  • Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams

  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders, work in confined areas, and lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
